Why Believe in God?

Reason #21

If life is self-creating and self-organizing - where is the evidence of life in any star system other than ours?

The skies are thunderous in their silence; the Moon eloquent in its blankness; the aliens are conclusive by their absence. The extraterrestrials aren't here. They've never been here. They're never coming here. They aren't coming because they don't exist. We are alone.

- 'The MILLENIAL PROJECT' by Marshall T. Savage

For those who do not believe in a Creator, they must then resort to theories about the self-organzing nature of life. A planet such as ours that is so prolific with so many millions of species of plant and animal life and human intelligence must indicate that life is just busting to organize itself into new and exotic forms. But we do not see this happening anywhere on earth now. We do not see it happening on the moon, nor elsewhere in our solar system or in other solar systems. And the real clincher is the total silence of the universe when it comes to extraterrestrial radio signals. While our planet shines at so many frequencies brighter than the sun, a veritable beacon pointing to us - the rest of the cosmos is hauntingly quiet.
