Why Believe in God?
Reason #33
Recent archeological findings do not prove the Bible's accuracy - but they do support it.
In 1994 I was fortunate to spend a month roaming around Israel, checking out the holy sites. One of the most powerful experiences I felt was kneeling before the sarcophagus of one Joseph Caiphus, probably the father of the very Caiphus who condemned Christ. The family name was scratched into the sides of the bone box that had contained bones of a man. It does not prove a thing - yet a family name Caiphus had lived at the time of Christ. A thousand more such findings give great credence to the Bible and its stories. It should make one think.
