Why Believe in God?

In the 1960s the phrase "God is dead" became popular. This did not mean that God had physically died but rather that man no longer had a need to resort to God for any kind of moral or phenomenological answers. Man had supplanted God and grown beyond him. And yet look at us today - belief in God has never been stronger. Other gods and messiahs and powers have come and gone but the God of the Bible and his church of followers grows steadily.

If there was no God, I believe He would be dead by now.
